Colonel Harland Sanders Foundation Mobile Clinic
Too often, Kentucky children and teens can’t get to Lexington for the specialized care they need. The Colonel Harland Sanders Foundation Mobile Clinic – operated by Kentucky Children’s Hospital – brings our experts to them.
Our mobile clinic visits communities across the region to address disparities in care. Our primary focus is making specialty care accessible to children in rural and underserved areas. Our clinic brings UK HealthCare specialists to regional hospitals, county health departments, affiliate clinics and other community locations around the state, where they meet with patients in our fully outfitted mobile unit. Our team relies on data and relationships with community partners and providers to identify areas with the greatest need for pediatric specialty services. Patient appointments are set up in advance through referrals. The mobile clinic team consists of a medical provider, practice manager, nurse manager, nurse, medical assistant and driver.
