Performing Arts

Live performances occur across the University of Kentucky HealthCare enterprise. We feature a variety of paid and volunteer performers ranging from local singer/songwriters to internationally renowned classical musicians. We are committed to supporting local and regional performers as well as students from the University and local K-12 schools. A wide variety of performance types and genres are featured, including bluegrass, ballet, opera, dance, classical, jazz, rock-n-roll and many more.

Tuesdays at Noon, now in its tenth year, is our longest standing performance series. Performances are located in the Ronald J. Saykaly Performance Area at the UK Chandler Hospital, Pavilion A, Barnstable Brown Atrium Lobby. They occur weekly throughout the year.

UK School of Music Performance Series, also located in the Ronald J. Saykaly Performance Area, brings students and faculty to the UK Chandler Hospital during the spring and fall semesters to share their talents with our patients, families, staff, faculty and visitors.

Our Holiday Music Series brings much needed uplift and cheer to our facilities during this special time of year.  Through the generous support of the UK Hospital Auxiliary, we are able to offer multiple daily performances at numerous locations across the Enterprise during the entire month of December.

We also feature monthly performances at the UK Markey Cancer Center and Eastern State Hospital as well as numerous other pop-up performances at various times and locations throughout the year.

For more information about our performing arts programming or if you are interested in performance opportunities, please contact Sarah Timmons at (859) 323-4446 or sarah.timmons@uky.edu.
