Isabella Bruner
Isabella was 3 years old when she was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis, and severe migraines. Now age 11, she has an ileostomy and gets weekly injections along with infusions every six weeks at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Isabella pushes through her health struggles with an amazing smile. She is resilient, thoughtful, and brave. Isabella loves puppies, potatoes, reading, drawing, playing outside, and the color blue!
Easton Watkins
Easton “Eazy” Watkins was in a car wreck on February 3rd, 2024. The 9-year-old went into a coma and was flown to Kentucky Children’s Hospital, where he fought hard for his life. Eazy has a kind, helpful personality and is outgoing, adventurous and funny. This one-of-a-kind kid is an incredible hype-man and teammate. Eazy loves baseball more than anything in the world. Before he fully opened his eyes or spoke, he held a baseball. Eazy’s favorite foods are steak, crab legs and sushi. His favorite color is blue, and his favorite UK Football players are Randall Cobb and Benny Snell.
Chase Nicholas
In August of 2023, when Chase was 10 years old, his parents took him to the local emergency room, where his blood work came back with a hemoglobin of 3. Chase was transported to Kentucky Children's Hospital, where he received several blood transfusions. Chase was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia and has been treated at the Dance Blue Clinic ever since. Chase enjoys playing Fortnite, passing a football, swimming, and shooting his bow and arrow. His favorite UK football players are Josh Kattus and Marques Cox.
Colton Simpson
Colton Simpson from Richmond, Kentucky, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 9 years old. Now age 10, Colton is a regular patient at UK HealthCare’s Barnstable Brown Diabetes Center.
Colton is doing very well and manages his diabetes care independently. He doesn’t let his diabetes define him. Colton enjoys playing baseball and video games. His favorite UK Football player is Brock Vandagriff.
Morgan Hylton
Morgan is a 5-year-old from Grayson, Kentucky. She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis was as a newborn and has been receiving breathing treatments at Kentucky Children’s Hospital. Morgan is sweet and playful. She loves arts and crafts, and her favorite color is purple.
Shelbee Fuson
Shelbee is 4 years old and lives in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. At age 2, she was diagnosed with a hole in her heart and had open heart surgery at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, where she still receives care. Shelbee loves giraffes, the color purple, playing at the park, and swimming. Shelbee has a bubbly and sassy personality that shines every day!
TJ Buckles
TJ is a 3-year-old from Paris, Kentucky. He was born at 24 weeks and spent almost a year in the Kentucky Children’s Hospital NICU. For a while, TJ was dependent on a ventilator. He has cerebral palsy and currently lives with a gastrostomy tube. TJ is making great strides! He’s off the ventilator and is learning to walk independently. TJ has a very bubbly personality, loves playing outside, and is a big fan of Mickey Mouse. TJ’s parents would like everyone to know that he is a true superhero and deserves every opportunity in life to show off his amazing talents.
Tayshawn Johnson
Tayshawn is 10 years old, and lives in Lexington, Kentucky. Tayshawn spent four days at Kentucky Children's Hospital while a team of specialists worked to diagnose him. After many rounds of bloodwork and X-rays, Tayshawn was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus. The team at Kentucky Children’s hospital has been wonderful at meeting his needs. Tayshawn is outgoing and friendly. He is artistic, creative, and athletic. Tayshawn also loves to play sports, and his favorite UK football player is Deone Walker.
