Primary care options we offer

  • Pediatrics: Pediatric primary care providers at UK HealthCare play an essential role in your child’s life, from infancy to adolescence and young adulthood. Our pediatric specialists provide preventive care, such as immunizations and regular check-ups, to ensure your child is growing and developing properly. Additionally, our team diagnoses and treats common childhood illnesses and conditions, offers guidance on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits, and monitors developmental milestones to support your child’s overall well-being. We also provide pediatric services tailored to Lexington’s Hispanic/Latino community at Clinica Amiga, located at Kentucky Clinic South. And because we know that pediatric concerns never sleep, we provide after-hours care at the UK Twilight Children’s Clinic.
  • Family & Community Medicine: Family & Community Medicine primary care providers offer long-term primary care and preventive services to every member of your family. Our Family & Community Medicine specialists offer a full complement of care, including diagnosis and management of acute and chronic conditions, immunizations, sports physicals and referrals to specialists when needed.
  • General Internal Medicine: General Internal Medicine primary care providers, or internists, are trained to diagnose and treat conditions and injuries that commonly affect adolescents and adults. Our team of internal medicine specialists at UK HealthCare can provide you with care throughout your life, partnering with specialists when additional expertise is required.
  • Internal Medicine & Pediatrics Group: These primary care providers are board-certified in both pediatrics and internal medicine, making them uniquely qualified to care for patients of all ages throughout their lives. At this clinic, providers offer annual physical exams and comprehensive medical care for the entire family.
  • Women’s Health: Primary care providers at UK Women’s Health – Primary Care, part of the Center for the Advancement of Women’s Health, offer personalized care to women of all ages. Services include annual exams, bone-density tests and mammography. Our clinicians are also actively involved in research and education related to women’s health, ensuring you have access to the latest options in care.
  • Transform Health: Primary care providers with this UK HealthCare clinic are dedicated to providing supportive, evidence-based care to LGBTQ+ patients. Services include preventive care, screenings and mental health referrals.
  • Urgent Care: To ensure you have access to healthcare services 24/7, we provide urgent care in multiple settings. Our UK Twilight Children’s Clinic offers convenient solutions to manage illnesses and injuries that need attention outside of regular office hours. To ensure our team members and their families have access to timely care, we offer employee urgent care services at the UK Health Plan Urgent Care Clinic on our main healthcare campus. Employees also have a lower copay when using these urgent care clinics.
