Everyone who has been diagnosed with coarctation of the aorta should see their cardiologist at least once a year. You should have:
- Blood pressure checked in arms and legs
- Imaging of your heart through echocardiograms or MRI
If prescribed by your cardiologist, take blood pressure medicine as directed, and exercise regularly.
