About

Dr. Ashley Brunmeier is a cardiologist dedicated to treating adults with congenital heart disease, offering a unique blend of experience in both internal medicine and pediatrics. With her advanced training in cardiac imaging, she is able to perform and interpret Cardiac CT and MRI scans, which allows her to personally manage the imaging and diagnosis of her patients—an integration of care that sets her apart from others in the field. Her diagnostic skills and passion for managing complex congenital heart conditions are central to her role at UK HealthCare. She hopes that patients feel comfortable knowing they’re in expert hands with someone who values their unique healthcare needs.

Dr. Brunmeier brings a fresh perspective to the team at UK HealthCare. As a woman, she provides a slightly different viewpoint, which enriches the patient care environment. She is particularly passionate about her role because of her positive experience during her residency, where she fell in love with treating this patient population. The mentorship she received during her fellowship at UK HealthCare solidified her desire to return and contribute to the institution.
