About
S. Houssam Mardini completed a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Kentucky and advanced endoscopy training at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and medical school at Damascus University, Syria. He is a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF).
Dr. Mardini's interests are endoscopic management of patients with chronic pancreatitis, therapeutic and advanced endoscopy, gastrointestinal epidemiology and healthcare organizational behavior and marketing. He has authored over 30 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters in the field of gastroenterology.
Dr. Mardini is available for consultation for patients with disorders of the biliary tree and pancreas that require diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) techniques. He is an expert on luminal stenting and pancreatic fluid collection management.
