Endoscopy Center
The UK Endoscopy Center is a 7,000-square-foot facility that offers a state-of-the-art setting for endoscopy and training. Our experts perform thousands of minimally invasive, non-surgical procedures each year. Through these general and advanced procedures, our team is able to evaluate, diagnose and provide treatment to address conditions of the digestive tract.
Most procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, which means you do not have to spend the night in the hospital. Our minimally invasive procedures also make it possible to achieve outcomes similar to those from an equivalent surgery but with a minimally invasive approach and much quicker recovery.

The UK Endoscopy Center operates facilities at both UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital and UK Good Samaritan Hospital. With access to experts across the UK HealthCare enterprise, we are able to bring together providers from a variety of disciplines to provide you with the best care. Specialists in endoscopy, cancer treatment, surgery, pharmacy, radiology and other fields are available to assist in tailoring your specific care plan.
Preparing for your visit
Patients will typically receive a preparation form in the mail to complete and return. You will later receive a follow-up phone call to answer remaining questions.
Your procedure may be scheduled at either of our Lexington facilities – UK Chandler Hospital or UK Good Samaritan Hospital – based on availability and your preference. After arriving at the scheduled facility, you should proceed to the registration desk, where you will be directed for check-in at a UK Endoscopy Center nurse’s station.

Please note that the UK Endoscopy Center does not accept self-referrals. Physicians may refer a patient by calling the UK•MDs physician referral service at 800-888-5533.
