Personal Statement
Early detection is very important in treating lung cancer. This is a disease that we're not just going to accept. It's a disease that we're going to take head-on. In 2012, I was diagnosed with cancer. Prior to this, the process of going through examinations and treatment was something that I had only seen in my patients. This made me fully understand the distress that patients experience and helped me to become a better doctor.
