About

Dr. Zena Chahine is a hematologist oncologist at the UK Markey Cancer Center. She treats blood cancers, including multiple myeloma, and other conditions using leading-edge treatments.

Dr. Chahine earned her medical degree from the University of Balamand in Lebanon. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at the Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of Kentucky.

Her research includes published and ongoing work focused on CAR T-cell therapy, acute myeloid leukemia, multiple myeloma and other cancers. She is also a peer reviewer for several medical journals.

Additionally, Dr. Chahine is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Hematology, Blood and Marrow Transplantation. Her teaching experience includes organizing and instructing a hematology lecture series for residents.

Dr. Chahine previously volunteered as a medical provider for underserved populations in Tripoli.

She is a member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
