About
Dr. Travis Hughes is a vascular surgeon at the UK Gill Heart & Vascular Institute who treats peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysm and other conditions.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Texas McGovern School of Medicine in Austin. Dr. Hughes then came to the University of Kentucky to complete a residency in general surgery and a two-year fellowship in vascular and endovascular surgery. He has remained in the Bluegrass State ever since.
Along with a growing body of published research, Dr. Hughes’ skills as an educator earned him three resident teaching awards.
