I felt very dismissed by the doctor. The fellow was actually amazing and was attentive. The doctor seemed confused by my questions and dismissed them. Refused to write a prescription for a Dexcom to monitor my blood glucose levels. Stated my insurance wouldn't pay for it unless I was on insulin and it's expensive out of pocket. I repeatedly stated I didn't care about the cost and she just totally ignored that. I asked her to refill the Metformin I was taking. She insisted getting a lab drawn done first that was unnecessary. I made sure to bring up that I am almost out of medication. She stated they would reach out when she got lab results. I did get a note in mychart with results but still haven't received any refills. Would have already ran out of medication had I not realized this was going to be an issue. My experience was so lackluster and disappointing I knew to go ahead and see a different provider to get my medication refilled. This provider was not personable, borderline condescending, does not address questions, or appropriately follow up. I'm a white male with a thick Southeastern Kentucky accent and I genuinely feel that this played into my experience. I came out of that experience with the very statement, She thinks I'm poor and dumb. But actually, I AM A PROVIDER MYSELF. I didn't bring that up to her, and I shouldn't have to. I do know, I won't follow up with her, nor will I make any referrals to her.

Dr Francis was very thorough about everything She asked if I had any questions and answered all of them . She also called the next day to talk to me about my test results . She was awesome
