Personal Statement
One concern with a child who is born with hearing loss is that we learn to speak based on what we hear. The thought of living your life, or as a parent, maybe living your life without your child saying "I love you" or "I do" or some of those really important phrases is tough. This makes it really critical to identify pediatric hearing loss in a timely manner and intervene in an appropriate way.
