Generally Dr. Iverson is amazing - but this visit was not stellar - the disregard for patient privacy was concerning - When ever a care provider leaves the room - Log out of medical record. It's not hard.

Dr. Iverson and his team are phenomenal! I've recommended them to numerous friends and parents. I couldn't think of a negative attribute if I were forced too. Dr. Iverson is so caring and patient and WONDERFUL with children. He's very relatable, and always gives me as a mother time to explain any concerns and ask questions and never makes me feel rushed or silly for my questions asked. He's been a vital part of the care my daughter has received at UK Healthcare and I honestly can't thank him enough!

My only complaint was that the medical student was never introduced to us, we were never asked if it was ok for her to observe, and it was all just assumed it was ok. I am very much aware of UK because an academic medical center and I would've happily said it was ok. But not being involved in that decision made my momma instincts uneasy that someone is making my child's choices for her. Which is NOT what we teach her.

Our family cannot say enough good about Dr. Iversen and the care he has given our daughter over the last year. He has always made sure we can schedule directly with him and listens and guides when he is not the needed provider.

Very frustrated with the Dr, I came to have my son examined about physical limitations for his speech disorder and he immediately wanted to prescribe Flonase for him. Congestion isn't an issue for my son. Two weeks prior I had seen our pediatrician for my son's 5 yr checkup and they checked his ears and nothing was said and my son hadn't been sick since that appt. The Dr then wanted us to visit his speech therapist although we have one and expressed my concern with insurance and having problems getting addntl appts. I just feel like the Dr didn't understand why I was there.

Dr. Iverson took care of my son a few years prior to this and I have also been on his patients' treatment team in the hospital; he has always been kind and patient and thorough. So, I was already relieved that my appointment was able to be with him. He talked through every ear infection, antibiotic she has had, timelines, family history, etc. He gave us options of treatments and when he was booked out nearly 2 months for an ear tube procedure, he found openings in his schedule to get our baby in, we were willing to wait but he worked with us. She has been sick for almost 5 months straight and his willingness to help her sooner without us needing to ask was such a relief. When he examined her, he was the only provider that she did not get upset with, he was gentle and patient.

The doctor was very kind towards my daughter and did what he could to help her feel comfortable. I was very happy with the appointment. He and his staff worked very hard and went above and beyond to get her surgery scheduled. I'm very thankful for that.
