About
Chris Azbell, MD, grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Alabama for his undergraduate education. After graduating medical school at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, he completed his otolaryngology residency at the University of Louisville. During residency he made the decision to focus his career on the care of pediatric patients. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Following his training, Azbell joined the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the University of Kentucky. His practice covers the entire breadth of pediatric otolaryngology, with particular emphasis on hearing loss, cochlear implantation, and complex endoscopic and open airway surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery.
He is married to his high school sweetheart, Erin, and they have two young boys. During his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, running, traveling, and cooking.
