Charles Shelton has served primarily as a clinical psychiatrist for more than 20 years and has expertise in psychopharmacology and treatment-resistant psychiatric conditions. He is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. As a successful heart transplant recipient, he has a special interest in neurobehavioral transplant medicine. He has lectured extensively, taught many continuing medical education symposia, and served as a clinical preceptor for both medical and physician assistant students. He has peer-reviewed publications in print.

By virtue of his background and experience, Dr. Shelton has clinical expertise in his respective field and a unique perspective of the patient’s role in successful convalescence.
