Dr. Roads graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, earning a bachelor of science in Biology. He attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine and graduated in 2013. He completed residency and fellowship at the University of Kentucky and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Roads is an Assistant Professor with the department of Psychiatry. He primarily works with transitional age youth at the University Health Service at UK and maintains a child and adolescent clinic. He also works as the psychiatrist at the Bluegrass Care Clinic, providing psychiatric care to people living with HIV.
