Personal Statement

I'm the nurse practitioner that works very closely with Dr. Patrick O'Donnell. When patients are scheduled to see us at Markey Cancer Center, they're either scheduled with Dr. O'Donnell or me. We place a high priority on getting patients seen quickly. We know that when a patient has a cancer diagnosis, they're very upset and we want them to be seen as quickly as possible. When Dr. O'Donnell is in the operating room, patients are booked with me so that we can facilitate any treatment that they need as soon as possible.

Our team approach helps patients by providing them comprehensive care, not only for their physical problems, but also for all the emotional aspects that go along with a cancer diagnosis. It affects not only the patient, but the patient's family as well. One of the reasons I enjoy this job is because I'm able to make a difference.
