Shasta Kessler graduated from the University of Kentucky with her Masters in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in May 2007. Prior to becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she worked at Kentucky Children’s Hospital as a clinical nurse for four years. She has been practicing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for 10 years.

Kessler is board certified by the Pediatric Nursing Certification Board. She is currently an active member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.

She works in pediatric neurology. Her responsibilities include providing care to patients and their families in the Child Neurology Clinic, working closely with pediatric neurologists.

Personal Statement

I have always had a passion for working with children and their families and have worked in the pediatric health care field for over 14 years. I was raised in rural Kentucky and I look forward to providing care for people from all over Kentucky and surrounding areas.

    Shasta Kessler has always been very professional, answered all questions, and created an environment that makes my son feel free to share his feelings and talk with her. He has sensory issues so most doctors do not do this for him.

      Out of all the doctors we have between UK and Baptist this was the first time I felt heard as a mother. My child was able to trust her, she was gentle.
