Karen Mulholland is a certified Advanced Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS) and is a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN). She provides services in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and hematological disorders.

Personal Statement

My decision to enter the nursing profession was influenced by my mother, who was a nurse, and her colleagues. I admired their caring spirit and the unselfishness towards those in need. My philosophy of nursing is that the patient comes first and that we should assist the patient and their family through their health care journey. I am a strong advocate for my patients and strive to address their needs.

Outside of nursing I am most interested in genealogy, travel and sports, especially horse racing as I am a thoroughbred horse owner and breeder. I am active in my church serving as a Stephen's Minister. Other community involvements include serving on Camp Horsin' Around and Cardome Renaissance Centre boards.
