About
Jennifer Writsel, MS, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant specializing in general urology and urologic oncology. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va., and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Writsel sees general urology patients two days a week at UK HealthCare's Kentucky Clinic, treating conditions such as hematuria, elevated PSA, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urinary tract infections and kidney stones. She also provides care at the UK Markey Cancer Center, where she works with patients facing urologic cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder, testicular, penile and adrenal cancers. As part of her role, she helps administer intravesical chemotherapy for bladder cancer patients at Markey.
Clinically, Writsel has a special interest in advanced prostate cancer. Outside of work, she enjoys playing volleyball and pickleball, hiking, attending sporting events — particularly Ohio State football and Indiana Fever basketball — and going to concerts.
