Mindy Kolodziejski, MS

  • Certified Genetic Counselor

About

Mindy Kolodziejski, MS, is a certified genetic counselor at UK HealthCare who cares for pediatric and adult patients.

Kolodziejski knew she wanted to be a genetic counselor when she was 12 years old and a close family member learned of their genetic predisposition to certain types of cancer. Her personal experiences as a patient and loved one inspire her empathetic approach to each patient.

After receiving her bachelor’s degree at the University of Minnesota, Kolodziejski went on to earn her master's degree from UTHealth Houston’s genetic counseling program. Kolodziejski trained at Texas Medical Center – the largest medical center in the world – and gained experience at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Texas Children's Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center. During this time, she cared for a diverse population of patients with a wide range of genetic conditions.

When she’s not at work, Kolodziejski enjoys reading, crocheting, hanging out with her two cats (Kylo and Anakin), and spending time with friends and loved ones.
