Personal Statement
Occupational therapy to me, has always been a profession that assists individuals develop and cultivate lost or impaired skills after injury or disease so they can continue to participate in their meaningful occupations. During my high school years, I got see the difference that occupational therapy can make in the recovery of a loved one after an injury. Hand therapy was especially intriguing to me as there is very little that we do each day that does not involve the use of our hands.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, walking /running with my dog, working out, crocheting, and enjoying a large cup of coffee.
