UK patient care manager inspired to educate her patients and her staff

Meet Jitana Benton-Lee, a registered nurse and patient care manager in the trauma and acute care surgical services at UK HealthCare.

Benton-Lee is passionate about teaching her patients about their health so that they are able to take care of themselves when they go home. Given the high acuity of this patient population, she feels like she is making an impact in the lives of her patients at UK HealthCare. She also loves teaching her diverse staff of nurses about how to best treat a growing and changing patient population.
